Abstract: Reform of the undergraduate curriculums for safety engineering discipline is explored. Authors consider that the mode and goal of education for this discipli ne have to be revised. For a comprehensive discipline like this, the priority sh ould be placed on basic courses instead of on specialties. In order to meet the social need more adaptively, the width of the discipline should be broadened, an d the information security should be listed into this curriculum system.
