Abstract:

To address the engineering problems of traditional loess fire-extinguishing slurry, such as easy sedimentation, pipeline blockage and accumulation failure, and improve the suspension stability of thickened slurry, mechanical analysis of loess particles was carried out to derive the settling velocity formula. It was clarified that stirring time, stirring speed and particle size affect suspension characteristics by changing the interaction forces between particles. Combined with range analysis, variance analysis, regression analysis and response surface analysis, the priority of influencing factors and the optimal parameter range were determined, and the practicability of the parameters was verified through on-site grouting monitoring. The results show that the stirring time of slurry A and the stirring speed of slurry B can cause shear thinning of the thickened slurry, thereby changing its three-dimensional network structure and intermolecular entanglement; the size of loess particles C will affect their specific surface area, mechanical effects, and agglomeration behavior in the slurry. These three factors together affect the consistency and suspension performance of the slurry. The static suspension rate of the thickened slurry reaches the optimal level of 82.5% when A is 5 min, B is 1000 r/min, and C is 140 mesh. The primary and secondary ranking of each factor on the static suspension rate δ is B>A>C, indicating that stirring speed is a key factor affecting the static suspension rate of thickened slurry. The optimal ranges of factors influencing the suspension effect of thickened slurry materials are determined as 4.3 min ≤ A ≤ 5.9 min, B = 1000 r/min and 108 mesh ≤ C ≤ 167 mesh. The analysis results are basically consistent with those of range and variance analysis, which verifies the validity of the range and variance analysis results. Field grouting test results verify that the optimal preparation parameters obtained from laboratory experiments provide reliable guidance for on-site grouting performance.
