Abstract: In order to improve drivers' lateral risk avoidance ability, simulation experiments were carried out.In the experiments,a driving simulator with fixed base was used to build 5 typical dangerous driving scenes of urban roads, and an eye tracker was used to record eye movement data and risk avoidance operation data of 35 drivers.Parameters such as drivers' gaze distribution, the perception-brake reaction time, continuous braking time, maximum steering wheel angle time, and vehicle lateral position were statistically analyzed. Results show that the drivers' horizontal visual lines are in the middle right area of the visual field in the five scenes, that except for scene 3,the average perception-braking time of drivers is less than 1 second, and that when the visual line is not blocked, the driver mainly adopts the brake to avoid risk, otherwise mainly adopts the operation consisting of steering and braking.
