Research on safety of backfill mining strip pillars under villages

Abstract: In order to explore the safety and feasibility of miningtheretaining strip pillars with backfill,firstly,a backfill plan was proposed,and the stability of filling body was analyzed by calculating the load and strength of filling body.Then,the prediction parameters were determined according to the movement of rock strata after strip mining.The probability integral method was used to predict the surface movement and deformation after backfill.The damage to surface buildings was analyzed to verify the applicability of backfill with evaluation standards for building damage.Lastly,backfill mining strip pillars under the Fodian villages were taken as an example,researches on and analyses of which were carried out.The results show that the backfill load is 22.3 MPa,the backfill strength is 31.1 MPa,the backfill safety factor is 1.41,which can maintain long-term stability of the ground,and that the ground surface movement and deformation controlled by backfill is in the range of Ⅱ-level,and the normal use of the surface buildings will not be affected by backfill.
