Abstract: In order to safeguard the safety of railway operation and improve the organization efficiency of railway transportation, the large railway passenger stations were taken as the research objects. According to the various factors influencing the safety of railway passenger stations and the related characteristics of fire accidents, the fault tree model was chosen to analyze the fire accident of large railway passenger stations. Relevant rules were used to determine the minimum cut set and the importance of basic events was analyzed qualitatively by selecting the structure importance degree. The results show that the failure of automatic alarm system and fire system are the key factors affecting fire accidents at large railway passenger stations. The routine work of passenger stations must start with preventive control measures, identify and eliminate potential security problems in railway passenger stations in order to provide better safety support for travel of passengers.
