Research on safety monitoring system for railway workers based on Beidou

Abstract: Research on safety monitoring system based on BDS was proposed to improve the working efficiency of railway workersand themanagement quality.The high-precision positioning technology of Beidou was combined with Geographic Information System (GIS), electronic fence, map-matching and other auxiliary technologies. Theaccurate location recognition and reliable information-sharing were realizedthrough carrier phase difference technology and theunified platform of railway mobile data transmission. The results show thatthe proposed system integrates the issuing and receiving functions of the operation schedule, and checksthe work progress, and thatwhenworkers enter or leave the work area in violation of the regulation, or the distance between workers and vehicles is dangerous, the system automatically sends the early warning signal to the positioning terminal, which can remind workers to quickly evacuate to the safe area and realize the real time scheduling and control of personnel.
