The train-set scheduling optimization problem with multiple train-sets and multiple depots considering maintenance requirementswas investigated, and a novel two-stage decomposition algorithm was proposed. Firstly, a multi-commodity flow-based MILP optimization model for train-set schedulingwithout consideringmaintenance requirementswas established to obtain multiple candidates train-set schedules. Thenbased on the multiple candidate train-set schedules generated in the first stage, the second stage of the algorithm generated a set of feasible paths for each single train-set unit, where a path allocation sub-problem with maintenance constraints was developed to check the maintenance feasibility. The results show that the proposed optimization approach can save foureight-car size train sets, reduce the total deadhead mileage by 38.4% and save 3% operating cost compared to the manual schedule, and that the operation efficiency of train-setcan be further improvedthrough a more flexible way of composition.

The paper was aimed at exploring the adaptability of construction methods of the three-line super-large section tunnel in dolomite stratum of Chengdu-Kunming Railway. Based on the physical and mechanical tests of surrounding rocks, five construction methods of new dolomite tunnel were simulated by the FLAC3D program. According to the time-space effect of the transverse and longitudinal deformation of surrounding rocks, the deformation response and adaptability of the super large section dolomite tunnel under various working conditions were analyzed. The results show that in order to better control the deformation of the tunnel cavity during tunnel excavation, the cross diaphragm (CRD) method should be preferred, followed by the double-wall guide pit method, that different construction methods have the greatest influence on the tunnel invert, that in the excavation process, the earlier the step is excavated, the later the deformation is affected by the disturbance, while the later the step is excavated, the more the pre-deformation is sensitive to disturbance, that by adding a temporary inverted arch and center diaphragm, the excavation section is divided into a plurality of closed excavation faces, which not only helps to control the deformation of the tunnel, but also has a good control effect on the extrusion deformation of the face, and that theoretical conclusions about the tunnel construction methods in dolomite stratum can provide guidance for deformation control of similar large cross-section tunnels of Sichuan Tibet railway.

In order to solve the problem of security risks faced by CBTC systems, an IDS based on network traffic and packets was proposed to detect typical attacks of CBTC systems in real time, such as the denial of service (DoS) and data tempering attacks. Firstly, thecharacteristics of CBTC system and impacts of cyber attacks on CBTC system wereanalyzed. Thenthe IDS was designedbased onCBTC system. In the packet detection module, self-organizing maps (SOM) neural networkswere used to improve the density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBscan) method. And the traffic detection module based on auto regression (AR) algorithmwas combined with packet detection module. Finally, the IDS was tested on CBTC simulation platformand its performance was verified. The results show that the IDS can detect attacks in CBTC system by alerting the characteristics of network traffic and packets, so as to improve the information security protection ability of CBTC system.

Inorder tohelp solve ice problem on the lining surface to ensure operation safety in cold region tunnels, the causes and early warning technology of icingwere studied. Firstly, main types of icing problems in tunnelswere summarized, reasons for failure of waterproof and insultation measures were analyzed. And then, a maintenance joint structure and freezing forecast and prewarning method were proposed to deal with the icing problem. Finally, the tunnel icing prediction and early warning system based on Internet of Things technology was used to guide deicing work. The results show that waterproofing layer is injured by surrounding rock pressure and shear force during service, tunnel drainage system is silted and blocked during operation, and compressed insulation layer between the initial support and the second lining gradually failed under the freeze-thaw cycles, all of these leading to the failure of waterproof and insultation measures, and that the maintenance joint structure introduces the drainage hole, the seal ring and the maintenance hole, which realizes the renewal of the seal ring.

In order to ensure that high-speed railway trains operate according to schedule and reduce the risk of potential traffic conflicts, the delay of high-speed trains and their propagation rules were studied by using the train operation performance. Firstly, through the descriptive statistical analysis of the actual train operation data of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen high-speed railway, the primary delay distribution of the train operation was obtained. Secondly, the hierarchical clustering algorithm was used to analyze the delayed trains, and four kinds of delayed train sequences were obtained. Based on this, the delay feature variables were extracted. Finally, the random forest model was used to predict delay time of all kinds of delay train sequences. The results show that combined with the random forest model, the accuracy of predicting delay time of four kinds of delayed trains is more than 84%.
