Abstract: For the sake of scientific and effective safety evaluation of high-speed railway passenger stations, factors which have impact on itssafety were analyzed considering its characteristics ofcrowded and fast moving passengers and complex safety management. Then an index system of safety evaluation was established and fuzzycomprehensiveevaluation method was put forward. Finally, it was applied to a high-speed railway passenger station in northeast Chinafor safety evaluation. The results show that fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method is suitable for evaluation featured with multiple objectives and qualitative indicators, andit is reliable and practical in safety evaluation of high-speed railway passenger stations.

Key words: high-speed railway passenger station, safety factors, safety evaluation, fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, analytic hierarchy process
