Abstract: In order to improve safety management of wind power generation enterprises, safety evaluation of wind farm operation was studied by using multi-level extensible method and derived reference of vulnerability concept. A vulnerability evaluation index system was constructed through questionnaire and expert consulting method. Then, with multi-level extension method as the core, an assessment model of wind farm operation was established. Finally, a mature wind farm in China was used as an example to determine its risk level, and relevant countermeasures to prevent the farms' vulnerability were proposed in response to evaluation results, which was a new method for safety evaluation of wind farms in China. From the theoretical analysis and case calculation results, it is found that the proposed method can enhance safety evaluation of wind farm operation, and provide reference for further research on safety evaluation of the enterprises in China.
