    ased on the method of system analysis and the probability theory concerned, using the chart of network function of the system, provided that the destruction probability of each unit under certain earthquake intensity is known, the predi ction of seismic disaster is worked out. Then, analysis is done on the weak link of the system to obtain the scientific and reasonable criteria for anti-seismi c reinforcement. This method makes the prediction of seismic disaster and anti- seismic reinforcement for overall industrial enterprises more scientific, feasib le and easy-to-operate.

    Theory of safety rheology is put forward. Fundamental characteristics and the oretical basis are analyzed. Safety rheologic characteristics of accidents in co almines are described. The occurrence and development of accidents in coalmines could be explained by this theory. It further suggests that the theory of safety rheology be in compliance with the development and regularity of any object.

    On the basis of analyzing the character of the gas emitted from the mining fa ce, the modified Grey predicting model GM(1,1) with amendments to the relationsh ip among the gas amount, mining depth and coal output is respectively establishe d. The amount of gas emitted from mining face could be predicted in case of diff erent mining depth and coal output. The practical application demonstrates that the predicting model is reliable and its precision is enough to meet the practic al usage.

    Test of simulated environment of the manned space capsule is very risky. In o rder to ensure the safety of the spacemen during pilot test, the equipment used in simulation test must be systematically checked and perfected. All the staff e ngaged the test must be well trained. The flowchart of the test must be worked o ut in detail, and strictly organized and managed. In this paper, the technical r equirements of the test facilities, the training courses involved in the pilot t est, and countermeasures in the organization and management are emphatically int roduced.

    The cause of empty freight car derailment on tangent is analyzed. Authors con sider that the unfitness in the proportion of the vehicle hunting wavelength to that of the cross level irregularity, or the resonance resulted from the equalit y between the vehicle hunting frequency and the frequency of wheel sets or bog ies horizontal natural frequency causes the derailment. Preventive measures ar e proposed. They are to raise the standard of cross level irregularity, especiall y to prevent the continuous and periodical counter wavelength, to improve the st ructure of 8A bogie, to diminish the interval between two rails, and to obtain t he data of the horizontal natural frequency of wheel set and bogie from the manu facturer so as to avoid the resonance velocity and so on.

    The aging of urban population has brought new problems concerning the traffic safety management in China, especially in those cities with high aging rate. In order to ensure the traffic safety and other legal rights of the aged, accordin g to their mobile regularity and psychological behavior, some special ways and c ountermeasures feasible to the aged should be adopted. (1) Enhance the safet y ed ucation, mainly depending on family education assisted by special social educati on and road safety activities. (2) Strengthen the traffic management for the age d, set good traffic facilities, and encourage the aged to wear clothes with bright colors.

    Studies on the Application of Logistic Regression Model to Prediction and Control of Pneumoconiosis

    o probe the application of logistic regression model to the predi ction and control of pneumoconiosis. Methods: Multi-logistic regression was used to establish a regression model formed by three factors and pneumoconiosis prev alence probabilities. The three factors are exposure time (ET) of workers to the dust, the average exposure concentration (AEC) by exposure ages, and dust toxic ity (T). Results: (1) The regression model for the prediction and control of pne umoconiosis is P=1/{1+exp[-(-5.4707+0.0947ET+0.0024AEC+1.9784T)]}. ( 2) The odds rates of these three factors affecting the pneumoconiosis prevalence come respectively as follows: 1.0994(ET), 1.0024(AEC) and 7.2310(T). Conclusion s: The high conformability of the regression model for the prediction and contro l of pneumoconiosis with the subject groups suggests its better practicality and application value in the scientific management and the decision-making in the f ield of pneumoconiosis prevention.

    Hard disk drive is an important computers outer storage device, which is ra t her sensitive to random vibration circumstance, and is one of the weakest elemen ts in controlling the safety of computer system and information processing. Afte r analyzing the safety of the hard disk drive operating under random vibration c ircumstance, the general forms leading to operation failure of the hard disk dri ve are presented. According to the relationship between the head/disk relative d isplacement response on vibration excitation and read/write mode, the failure cr iterion of hard disk drive is provided. The result obtained provides a useful ex ploration on the safety analysis and estimation of the computer system under the condition of vibration.

    The prevailing SMS (Safety Management System) verification methods are found difficult to ensure SMS files fully comply with international or domestic compul sory stipulations. This seriously restricts full realization of the efficiency o f ISM Code. Under the circumstance of network, a computer aided verification technology for SMS files has been developed. Its main achievements, so far, are as follows: Matching rules between clauses of laws and regulations and SMS file s have been established. Mathematical evaluation methods are further developed t o decide the conformity degree of SMS files with the statute clauses. Computer a ided verification program has been designed. Preliminary application of the subj ect technology indicates that it enables the auditors to rapidly and thoroughly identify non-conformities in SMS files against laws and regulations with a reas onable result of the conformity degree. The technology could help to improve the conformity degree of SMS files with the statute clauses, so as to facilitate th e complete implementation of the ISM Code. It is also applicable to similar mana gement systems.

    The rapid development of wireless communication technology makes it possible to transmit the data for vehicle control between the vehicle and ground by radio . The key points are the reliability and availability of wireless transmission, especially under high speed. The characteristics of wireless channel in ITS and IRTS are analyzed. Then the reliability and availability of wireless transmissio n for high-speed vehicle control are analyzed. A channel model is set up to dete ct the effect of vehicle speed on error rate. Measures are taken to improve the wireless link performance based on the channel property. Finally, methods are pr ovided to decide if the error rate meets the requirement of high speed vehicle c ontrol on ITS or IRTS.

In this paper, several methods of toxicity assessment are emphatically introduced, for which comparisons are made.     Through the study in depth of the data of injury accidents in the trade of hy droelectric engineering construction in recent 16 years, characteristics and reg ularity of the accidents have been induced. It is found that some new changes ar e happening. For example, besides the car accidents, gas explosion and other acc idents happened in excavating engineering had become the new focus of collective injury accidents. The high probability accidents take place so densely that the y occupy 46.32 % of death cases in this field according to statistics. And the a verage economic loss for each accident depletion has exceeded a hundred thousand yuan.
