Abstract: The establishment of railway line safety protection zone plays an important role in ensuring railway smoothing safely and protecting public life and property along railway lines. Through the investigation on railway construction units and operation departments, which helped us to understand existing problems of the railway line safety protection zone's establishment, suggestions and measures were put forward after soliciting opinions widely with relevant personnel. The survey results show that the establishment of railway safety protection zone was relatively lagging behind. The regulations were not enforced to the full and hard to be performed. It is necessary to further explore the validity and applicability of the process and method of setting up the pegs, and formulate the optimal scheme of setting up the pegs. It could ensure the smooth development of the establishment of railway line safety protection zone and the safety and smoothness of railway line.
