Abstract:

Aiming at the problems such as signal leakage and inaccurate location in the leakage detection of storage tanks, based on the general requirements of acoustic emission leakage detection, an acoustic emission detection and verification method and implementation steps under the condition of multi-level change for tank bottom leakage detection were put forward. Taking the storage tank of a petrochemical company as an example, the characteristics of acoustic emission signals collected at different liquid levels were analyzed. At the same time, acoustic emission technology was used to locate the leakage of the storage tank bottom, and an out-of-service detection method was used to verify it. It was found that with the increase of liquid level, the signal activity first increased and then decreased, and the acoustic emission detection results of storage tank bottom leakage were highly consistent with out-of-service detection. The results show that collecting the leakage acoustic emission signal of the tank bottom at multi-level can improve the location accuracy of the leakage source and effectively avoid the occurrence of missed detection.
