Improved fuzzy Borda method based evaluation of expressway safety facilities

Abstract: In order to provide decision-making reference for rational allocation of expressway safety facilities,an evaluation system of expressway safety facilities consisting of 15 indicators was established.An improved Borda combination evaluation method considering optimal solution and worst solution was worked out,the operational steps and numerical calculation methods of the method were given.5 expressways in Sichuan province were selected as samples,the technique for order preference by similarity to an ideal solution method and entropy value method,efficacy coefficient method,fuzzy synthetic evaluation and improved fuzzy Borda combined evaluation method were used to evaluate and compare the samples.The results show that Spearman rank correlation coefficients between the fuzzy Borda combination evaluation method and the four single evaluation methods are equal to or greater than 0.9,and the compatibility degree of the combination evaluation method is 0.98.It shows that the use of this method is highly credible.
