Study on information highlighting of data graph in nuclear power plant monitoring display interface

Abstract:

In view of the influence of information salience on the visual search task performance of operators in the digital monitoring and display interface of nuclear power plants, firstly, the graphic symbols of nuclear power interface data were taken as the research object.The graphic symbol shape encoding salience was taken as the variable. The influence of graphic symbol shape salience with consistent topology and topological difference on visual search performance was mainly studied. Then, the shape coding of data symbols was designed from the graphic attributes such as adjacency state, connection mode and constituent element type.The psychological behavioral response test was carried out. The experimental results show that there is significant impact on visual search performance in different data graphic symbol shape encoding highlights in the monitoring display interface. Single arc shape highlights promote the low visual search performance of subjects. Topologically different graphic symbol shape encoding highlights can improve the visual search performance of operators.
